Purpose

Many families invent a backup method years ago and never revisit it. This audit checks whether every offline wallet still has a complete, legible recovery record and whether those records are stored where the household believes they are.

Included

  • Cross-check of each paper or metal backup against the corresponding cold wallet’s recovery expectations.
  • Notes on faded ink, incomplete word lists, unclear passphrase reminders (without recording the passphrase itself), and duplicate copies in unsafe places.
  • Recommendations for separating “working copy” and “sealed copy” storage inside the home.
  • An updated backup index you keep on paper.

Pricing basis

Quoted from the starting rate once we know how many wallets and backup media types are involved. Additional time is billed in half-hour blocks if the household brings more devices mid-session.
